Before you start scuba diving you must know about the NITROX mixture. NITROX is any combination of nitrogen and oxygen. Diving NITROX rather than air is advantageous as it adds to safety factors of your diving profile. A normal breathing air comprises of 21% oxygen and 79% nitrogen. A NITROX mixture with oxygen greater than 21% is called Enriched Air NITROX which has various depth limits. Divers must know that an increased oxygen percentage in NITROX can prove toxic at shallower depths; therefore a proper NITROX training is must to understand and know the safe depth limits.
